Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located?
I am located in Tampa, Florida.

What is the cost of your cookies?
Pricing varies, depending on design, size, and quantity.  Please email me for a custom quote.  You can also go to our Order Information page for a guide.

I want to order your cookies, but they're out of my budget! Can you offer me a better price?

I can certainly sympathize with the difficult task of staying under budget. Unfortunately, I am not in a position to negotiate individual cookie prices because of the cost of ingredients and the labor intensive nature of the baking, decorating and design processes. I do appreciate your sincere interest and admiration of my cookies. There might be some ways I can adjust the design to lower the price. Email me at orders@indiascouturecookies.com  to "help me help you" and let me know what your budget is, and I will do my best to offer some options to better suit your needs.

Is there a minimum quantity per order?
There is a minimum order of 2 dozen (24) cookies.  Max six designs and they must all fall within a common color scheme.

Do you have stock cookies or are all of them customized?

All of my cookies are made to order, according to the customer's specifications. You choose the color, shape, design, optional text, or simply give me a picture/sample to replicate, and I create the precise cookie for you. It is truly a creative process, so I encourage you to give me a theme and let me come up with a spectacular design.

Is a deposit required to order?

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required on all orders.  The remaining balance is due a week (7 days) prior to the date of the event.  The deposit will be put towards your final cost.  I apologize, but no orders will be scheduled or dates be reserved without a deposit.

Which flavors do the cookies come in?

I offer a choice of two flavors: Orange Vanilla Spice and Lemon.

Do you make Gluten-Free, sugarless, dairy free or egg free cookies?

Even though I run a specialty bakery that takes custom orders, I do not offer bakery items that are Gluten-Free, sugarless, dairy free or egg free.

What ingredients are used in your cookies?
Decorated cookie ingredients are: flour, sugar, butter, organic eggs, organic agave nectar, baking powder, real vanilla extract, cardamom spice, and salt. Depending on which flavor you choose the cookies also contain orange or lemon zest.

Photo cookie ingredients are the same as above with the addition of these ingredients found in the frosting sheets we use: water, cornstarch, corn syrup, corn syrup solids, cellulose, sorbitol, glycerine, sugar vegetable oil, arabic gum, polysorbate 80, vanilla, Titanium Dioxide, Citric Acid.

Royal Icing (which is used in all of the decorated and photo cookies) ingredients are: powdered sugar, meringue powder, cream of tartar, real vanilla extract ,and FDA approved colors.

Do your cookies contain nuts?
My cookies do not contain nuts, but I do not recommend that people with food allergies consume my cookies.

Can you match my invitations or company logo?
Yes!  I  love doing custom work.

What is the difference between decorated cookies and photo cookies?

Decorated cookies are cookies which are iced by hand with several layers and colors of royal icing. The royal icing is colored by hand and applied to the cookie with a pastry bag.

Photo cookies contain the same ingredients as our decorated cookies. These cookies have an edible image printed on high quality frosting sheets with food coloring (FDA approved). My special 6-inkjet printer produces extremely clear images. Any logo, photograph, book cover, etc. can be used.

What types of payment do you accept?
I accept PayPal, cash, personal checks and cashiers checks. There is a $25 fee for returned checks.

How far in advance should I place my order?
I require at least two weeks’ notice, however there are times when I'm booked 3+ weeks ahead.  If you have a "cookie emergency" on your hands and need them sooner, please send me a message and I will do my best to take care of you, an extra rush fee may be charged.  Remember, your order is not complete until payment is made.

Why do you need at least two weeks’ notice?
First I spend a couple days researching and sketching your design.  Then, the cookies take anywhere from 3-6 days to bake and decorate. I bake them fresh upon your order and each layer/color of icing needs time to dry before the next color is applied. The royal icing locks in the moisture of your cookies, so they stay fresh and delicious for 2-3 weeks when stored properly.

How are my cookies packaged?
Cookies are individually wrapped in clear heat sealed cellophane bags and placed in a bakery box. For an additional cost coordinating ribbons or custom printed fold over tags can be added. See our Order Information page for more details.
